Larger spaces are available at a rate of $350 per 100 square feet
You must specify what size of booth space you are applying for during the application process.
How many booth spaces are available, what size are they, and what are the design requirements?
There are 125 available booth spaces at Potato Days. Spaces can be booked in 100 square foot increments. Choose your desired space size during the application process.
Booth space is raw and empty. Vendors are responsible for bringing all their own supplies to sell at the market. Depending on your booth space assignment, be prepared to setup on either grass or concrete. (You will have access to your booth space assignment no later than one month before the event.)
When and where is Potato Days being held?
The location and dates for Potato Days 2025 will be posted in January and February. Be sure to follow Potato Days on Facebook, Instagram, and X so you don’t miss it. That information will also become available on our website and social media accounts on the same day.
Can I share booth space with another business?
No. Each booth space must be booked and operated by a single business entity. Sharing booth space with multiple businesses is strictly prohibitted.
Can I apply for more than one booth space?
Yes. You will see the various booth size options during the application process. They are always in increments of 10’x10′.
Will I be automatically accepted?
No. Vendor space is juried by the United Potato Federation and approved one application at a time.
Here are the primary factors that jurors use to determine which vendors are accepted into the Potato Days marketplace.
- Unique Offerings: Vendors who provide unique or hard-to-find products that differentiate them from others are more likely to be approved.
- Alignment with Theme: Vendors that align with the Potato Days theme are often given priority. Try tying in potatoes into your booth decor or product line-up to improve your chances.
- Variety and Creativity: UPF often prefer vendors with high-quality, innovative, or diverse products that will attract customers.
- Price Point: Vendors who sell quick-grab items (under $50) tend to be more popular at outdoor marketplaces like Potato Days.
- Support for Local Businesses: UPF prioritizes vendors from the local area to support the community.
- Handmade or Small-Batch Products: Vendors who make their products by hand or in small batches often receive preference.
- Track Record: Vendors with positive feedback from other markets or events are prioritized when possible.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism in past events (e.g., punctuality, well-organized booths) can enhance approval chances.
- Aesthetic Appeal: Vendors who present well-designed, visually appealing booths are more likely to be chosen, as this contributes to the overall event atmosphere. If you have photos of your booth setup from past events, be sure to submit them during the application process.
- On-Time Submission: Vendors who apply early or by the deadline are given preference over late applicants.
- Detailed Descriptions: Applications that clearly describe the vendor’s offerings are prioritized. Be thorough in describing your business during the application process.
How will I know if I'm accepted as a Potato Days vendor?
You’ll receive an email from us either way (accepted or not) within 2 weeks of applying.
NOTE: Once accepted, you will receive an invoice, due 14 days after receipt, for your booth space with a link to pay online. Your booth space is not fully reserved until your invoice has been paid. Failure to pay your invoice within the 14 days results in the expiration of your APPROVED status. Once your status is EXPIRED you will need to contact us to re-apply.
Vendor space assignments will be issued no later than 4 weeks before the event begins.
Does Potato Days take a commission from vendor sales?
We take pride in not charging any commissions—100% of sales go directly to the talented local entrepreneurs in our community, allowing them to keep all their earnings. All our creators are small business owners, and we’re delighted to support and promote so many of them through Potato Days.
What is the cancellation policy?
Once you are notified of your acceptance and your payment is made, no refunds will be given if a cancellation is made. Once you cancel, you forfeit your spot in the fair and you are not permitted to sell or trade your space. We reserve the right to fill spots as we see fit.

How do I setup my booth space?
Before the event, vendors will choose a time slot for booth drop-off and setup. Setup occurs the day before the event. Vendors are responsible for bringing any necessary helpers and transportation tools (such as dollies, carts, and boxes) to assist with unloading, moving vehicles, transporting items, and setting up efficiently.
Upon arrival, ask a Potato Days staff member or volunteer to help you find your space. Be prepared with your company name and booth assignment.
Important: Always ensure your setup remains within the clearly marked boundaries of your assigned space. Do not extend beyond these limits.
Where is vendor parking during the event?
Parking for vendors will be clearly marked on the Potato Days vendor map (released no later than 4 weeks before the event). As a general rule of thumb, leave the close parking spaces for our event guests (your customers).
Where can I park and unload for booth setup?
The ‘setup’ and ‘teardown’ parking zones will be clearly marked on the official Potato Days Vendor Map (released no later than 4 weeks prior to the event).
Can I order power?
Yes. Power is $50 and you will be required to supply your own extension cord. During setup, you will be granted access to our commercial generator where you will be able to plug in your extension cord and run it to your booth following our guided cord path.
If you order power, be sure to bring your confirmation email to the market so our staff can check your order and grant access to the generator. This MUST be done during setup hours.
Do I need to bring my own generator?
Personal generators are not allowed in the Potato Days marketplace in an effort to control noise and improve our guest’s experience.
Do I need any permits to sell at Potato Days?
Yes, once you are accepted, we will provide the necessary information via email. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you have all the required permits and licenses to sell at Potato Days. Potato Days does not handle sales tax collection, verify permits, or confirm licensing compliance. For more details, please visit your state’s tax commission website.
