Meridian, Idaho – June 5, 2023 –The highly anticipated Potato Days is coming to Meridian on September 23-24, 2023 at Kleiner Memorial Park! The event will mark the largest public celebration of the potato in Idaho.

Get ready to dig into spud-tacular street food, games, art, and music with your entire family! Potato Days will boast a massive potato art installation featuring chalk art from over 60 local artists. There will be a french fry competition, live performances in the band-shell, carnival games, a vendor area, bubble garden, and bouncy houses. 

Potato Days promises to be a celebration of Idaho’s rich agricultural heritage, with a focus on the beloved potato. Visitors can indulge in an array of potato-based dishes, witness live performances, participate in engaging activities, and learn fascinating facts about potatoes.

Highlights of Potato Days include:

Tantalizing Tater Treats: Sample an assortment of mouth watering potato dishes prepared by local vendors. From classic loaded baked potatoes to creative twists like potato ice cream, there will be something to satisfy every palate.

Fry-Off: Watch as talented french fry chefs battle it out in a thrilling fry-off, showcasing their skills using Idaho’s famous potatoes. Judges will select the top creations, and attendees can even get a taste of the competition dishes.

Potato-themed carnival games: Engage in various family-friendly activities such as potato sack races, potato crafts, free carnival games, and a potato-themed photo booth. There will be entertainment for all ages to enjoy throughout the event.

Potato Education: Gain insights into the world of potatoes! Learn about the cultivation process, nutritional benefits, and the significant role potatoes play in Idaho’s economy.

Live Music and Performances: Groove to the rhythm of live music performances. Enjoy a lively atmosphere as you savor delicious food and dance along to the beats.
